Like the rest of the Diesel brand, the Diesel Vintage Series is made by AJ Fernandez in Nicaragua with this blend using a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over a binder from Estelí, Nicaragua and fillers from Jalapa, Nicaragua. As the name implies, aging is part of this cigar; the company says that the fillers have been aged for 5-8 years.
“With Vintage Series, we’ve responded to feedback from our valued retailers across the country who told us they wanted to give their customers the true experience of vintage tobacco in a well-crafted, premium smoke,” said Justin Andrews, business development manager of Scandinavian Tobacco Group’s (STG) North American Branded and Rest of World divisions, in a press release. “The catch was that it had to be at just the right price point. I’m proud to say that AJ Fernandez and I have delivered a cigar that fires on all cylinders: quality, construction, complexity and price.”
