Foundation Aksum, formerly known as Metapa, now embarks on a biblical journey with a captivating focus on history’s enigmatic relic, the Ark of the Covenant. Foundation Cigar Company opted for a makeover and rebranding for Metapa, keeping the blend unchanged while introducing a new name and cigar bands. Handcrafted at AJ Fernandez’s esteemed Tabacalera Fernandez factory in Nicaragua, the Foundation Aksum Claro blend features a lustrous Ecuadorian Sumatra Maduro wrapper, a Connecticut Broadleaf binder, and Nicaraguan fillers sourced from Esteli and Jalapa. The outcome is a medium-bodied cigar that boasts delightful richness and flavor complexities.
