The La Aurora Small Batch Lot No. 0007 is a 4 1/2 x 50 short robusto that uses a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over dual Cameroon and Dominican binders and fillers from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Peru. The company says the cigars have been aging for 21 years.
Production is limited to just 180 boxes of 10 cigars.
This release is being done in collaboration with the Premium Cigar Association (PCA). La Aurora and the PCA are marketing the cigar as a PCA Alliance cigar, a reference to a new PCA membership tier that is targeted to restaurants, bars, golf courses and other businesses that sell cigars but aren’t traditional cigar retailers. While this cigar is not an exclusive for PCA Alliance members, La Aurora will donate a portion of the sales of this cigar to the PCA and the cigar has the PCA logo on its foot band. La Aurora says it will donate 500 cigars to PCA Alliance members.
“The PCA Alliance is extremely important to the industry as we look for U.S. allies in cigar-friendly businesses like golf clubs, restaurants, and spirits manufacturers passionate about partnering with premium cigar brands like ourselves,” said John Ferrigan, national sales director for La Aurora USA, in a press release. “We are excited to release Small Batch 7 as a PCA Alliance Exclusive and a continuation of the support of this industry.”
