Keep your cigars fresh and moist with top-grade hygrometers. A cigar hygrometer is a device used to measure the relative humidity (RH) inside a cigar humidor or other cigar storage unit. It is essentially a small, specialized thermometer that measures the level of moisture in the air.
A cigar hygrometer can be either analog or digital. Analog hygrometers typically use a small, metal spring to measure humidity, while digital hygrometers use electronic sensors. Many high-end cigar humidors come with built-in hygrometers, but they can also be purchased separately and placed inside a humidor.
Maintaining the correct humidity level inside a cigar humidor is critical for the proper storage of cigars. The ideal humidity level for cigar storage is generally between 65% and 75%, depending on personal preference. A cigar hygrometer allows the user to monitor the humidity level inside the humidor and make adjustments as necessary to maintain the ideal conditions for cigar storage.
Regular calibration of a cigar hygrometer is also important to ensure accurate readings. This can be done by using a calibration kit or by comparing the hygrometer readings to a known accurate device, such as a digital thermometer with built-in hygrometer.
