The blend still uses a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper over a Nicaraguan double binder and Nicaraguan filler, but some tweaks have made it a little stronger blend than the original. It is being released in a 5 5/8 x 54 robusto extra that has a covered foot. Johnson announced the cigar in July 2021 and showed it off at the 2021 PCA Convention & Trade Show. A total of 4,500 boxes of 10 cigars have been produced. Johnson told halfwheel that “this is just a warmup for La Riqueza to come back into production.”
